"Watch Me Move" Lyrics by Fefe Dobson in Album: Joy

when i walk i'm walkin' straight up with the motion
when you see my hips shake baby look for cover
you try to put me in a box but i'm the only one
i'm a firecracker
boy don't tell your mother

w-w-w-watch me move
w-w-w-watch me move
i'll get you in the mood
w-w-w-watch me

i'm a lover with no boundries
you can't hold me down
but if i like it baby, i might just let ya
I'm feeling physical how about a demonstration
when i through you're gonna learn more than a thing or two
i'm gonna tease ya till you beg for euthanasia
i'm a respirator *gasp*
now watch me move

w-w-w-watch me move
w-w-w-watch me move
i'll get you in the mood
w-w-w-watch me

I feel your eyes all on me baby
take a good look put it into your memory
when i walk into the room you're gonna, you're gonna...
you're gonna w-w-w-watch me move

w-w-w-watch me move
w-w-w-watch me move
w-w-w-watch me move
w-w-w-watch me

you know i like it new
i'll get you in the mood

Fefe Dobson's Life

Felicia Lily Dobson or known as Fefe Dobson was born on February 28, 1985, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Her mother is of Dutch, Irish, Native Canadian, and English ancestry, and Fefe's father is of Jamaican heritage. She was also raised in the area in which Mike Myers was raised, Scarborough. She graduated her high school on 1999 from Heritage Park Public School.

When she was 11 years old, Dobson began sending out demo tapes to every label in North America - recorded on a home karaoke machine . Then at the age of 13, she started playing the piano. Her early music was influenced ranging from Nirvana and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to Cyndi Lauper and Silverchair. She was originally influenced by her mother's favourite R&B and disco stars, including Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie – and then later by her sister's love of Nirvana.

Dobson started writing at the age of 14, and her voice was caught by Jive Records a year later. The Jive Records loved her voice and set her up with a number of producers, in a goal to develop a pop star. But she refused the idea and left the label.

After the experience, she met Jay Levine and signed with Nelly Furtado’s manager Chris Smith who arranged showcases with several labels. Universal Music Canada president Randy Lennox showed interest in her. Island Def/Jam CEO Lyor Cohen and his head of A&R, Jeff Fenster, also fly to Toronto for another showcase. the executives were impressed and signed her.
